Objectives

  1. share current state of knowledge and identify research needs
  2. define directions and open up opportunities for international collaboration
  3. promote increased contact between Israeli and US scientists
  4. provide opportunity for participants to learn field techniques and skills from each other.  
The workshop will aim for two products: (1) a plan for and agreed authorship contributions to a review manuscript which will include a global perspective and recommendations for next research priorities; (2) a plan for and agreed authorship contributions for a report that offers recommendations for standardized practices and data types to maximize comparability of related field work around the world.​​
